The Larchmont Historical Fire Company is a division of the Mamaroneck Historical Society, established to promote understanding of the history of firefighting in Larchmont and Mamaroneck; and to preserve historical firefighting traditions and artifacts.
The Company maintains Engine One, a 1922 American LaFrance pumper that served Larchmont until 1948. Engine One has been restored to its factory specifications.
The Chief’s Car, owned by Company President Ray Maldonado, is a 1910 Brush Runabout.
The Chemical Cart is a 1891 Chapman Chemical Cart restored to operate as a hand cart, or in combination with the Chief’s Car.
Engine Toot is a 1950s Parade Cart, updated for our Parades.
The Company uniforms are based on the uniforms of the Civil War Infantry Company comprised of volunteer firefighters called the 11th New York Volunteers – the Fire Zouaves.
