Larchmont Fire Company Collections

A fire from the 1960s on Larchmont Avenue

These are photos kept over the years by the four companies and some of the chiefs of the Larchmont Fire Department. The collection includes images of the company rooms at Village Hall as well as those from parades, outings and fires. There are also scans of “Count Screwloose” cartoons by Milt Gross, who was a member of the Hook and Ladder Company.

The Fire History Committee Collection

Engine One in the 1920s or 1930s

These are images featuring the Larchmont Fire Department that have been put together by members of the Larchmont Historical Society’s Fire Committee. They include:

Photos collected by LFD Chiefs;
Membership lists and rosters to identify former LFD members;
Photos of department activities and events from 2000-2005; and
Photos of the training drill in the Manor Inn before it was remodeled as a private home.
